The Project Coordinator at FNF supports the Program Director in the conceptualization, planning, coordination, implementation and evaluation of activities and programs as well as in financial and administrative work. We are looking for an experienced and highly qualified individual with a vast background in project coordination and implementation who is able to provide quick and sufficient support in a sometimes challenging environment.
The Friedrich Naumann Foundation for Freedom (FNF) is a liberal German non-profit institution engaging in civic education, international dialogue and political consultancy. Through its projects, the Foundation promotes freedom, civil liberties and market economy in Germany and in about 60 countries worldwide. Our representation in Amman is both the Country Office for Jordan and the Regional Office for the Middle East and North Africa (MENA).
About the role:
As the Project Coordinator at FNF Amman Office you will play an essential role in planning the office’s yearly programs (mainly developing concepts and coordinating with partners) as well as in implementing various lines of activities including the selection of trainers and participants, organizing the logistics and moderating events. In the aftermath of a project you will be responsible for its evaluation, analysis and for its continuity. Part of your work will also include financial administrational tasks such as monitoring and adjusting budget projects. We expect you to represent the foundation at events and to write reports and articles on recent political developments in Jordan as well as in the MENA region.
Applicants should have sound competence in the conceptualization, implementation and evaluation of civil society projects and conferences, especially in the fields of civic education and international political dialogue, based on academic and professional experience. Excellent moderation skills are expected. They must be fluent in English and Arabic, a basic command of the German language is appreciated. Excellent communication and writing skills as well as organizational skills are expected. Applicants must have a solid analytical understanding of the political processes in the MENA region.
